Faith & Prayer - Hand in Hand

Faith in the Lord and prayer must go hand in hand.

If you believe, you must pray - If you pray, you must believe !

Read: Psalms 31:1-24

v1-3  Petition    “In thee” : never let me be ashamed

            2 reasons for our hope of consolation:

                        1)  the righteousness of God   1 Peter 1:3,4
                        2)  the name of God

            2 reasons for our hope:

                        1)  our “strong rock”
                        2)  our “fortress”

v19,20  Promise     of God’s goodness to those who choose to follow Him

            1)  Psalms. 34:7-10  companionship / protection

            2)  Isaiah. 26:3,4  perfect peace promised
                 Romans 8:38 ,39  no reason for alarm or/ to be anxious

v21-24  Praise    let you heart take courage

            1)  Psalms 37:4-6  delight your heart / take courage

            2)  Joshua 1:5-9  be strong and of great courage

            3)  Psalms 119:105  “Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet...”
