Praising
God
the antidote for
hurt
“Let us give thanks all the time to God through Jesus Christ. Our gift
to Him is to give thanks. Our lips should always give thanks to His name.”
Hebrews
Praising God for His power, sovereignty , and omnipotence relieves us of
our burdens and
frustrations. When we praise
God during our times of distress, disappointment or difficulty, we can give all
the weight of its adversity to the Lord’s care!
However, often our pride stands in the way of surrendering control to the
Lord. Praise helps us realize that
He is able to successfully take us through any dark valley.

mouth. 2 My soul will
be proud to tell about the Lord. Let those who suffer hear it and be filled with
joy. 3 Give great honor to the Lord with me. Let us praise His name
together. 4 I looked for the Lord, and He answered me. And He took away all my
fears.” Psalms 34:1-4 (NLV)
