Why did Jesus teach in parables?  Matt. 13:10,11

1)  Jesus used the parables to teach his disciples the deeper spiritual truths of God’s plan

2)  Jesus used parables to teach the crowds through practical life examples they would understand

Note:  Jesus always placed great importance upon “hearing” the Word of God. James 1:22-25
