Pharaoh; “Let My People Go !”

    “A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of.”     John 10:10 Msg

      If Egypt can be a picture of this world; Pharaoh was the god of the world.  Pharaoh is a picture of Satan, the god of this world.  Like Satan, he was a liar and murder.  Many times he would agree to let the children of Israel go, but would change his mind.  Pharaoh kept the Jews in bondage- and the devil wants to keep us in bondage to sin as well.

I.  Extra Burden Added

*  Satan is also a ruthless taskmaster-  a thief of human value

*  he wants us to quit or/ compromise

*  the solution is to get out from under his domain and oppression

            2 Corinthians 6:17  don’t live under the world’s influence

*  to serve God but stay in sin (slavery) is a losing compromise

*  God says, I’ll lead you out- all the way out; not just halfway

*  Moses had been appointed to lead the Hebrews out of Egypt

*  however, Pharaoh balked, withstood him- making it even worse

            1 Peter 2:20-25  Our Lord also suffered on our behalf

            Exodus 3:9-12  the calling and promise to Moses

*  God’s chosen man to lead the children of Israel into His blessing
