It's impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him.

Five Kinds Of Faith Affecting Our Daily Lives:

1)  Natural Faith - bank, post office, employer
2)  Intellectual Faith - cake recipe, sending e-mail, trip tic, light switch
3)  Historical Faith - Napoleon's army, George Washington, Lincoln
4)  Saving Faith - believing God’s promise to save us by His grace
5)  Victorious Faith - Overcoming the world’s lure  1 John 5:4

3)  Vain (empty) Faith   1 Cor. 15.13,14
