LOVE’S Everlasting Forgiveness

“Trust in the Lord, have faith, do not despair, Trust in the Lord”
Psalms 27:14  (TEV)

David experienced God’s forgiving  and continuing  love.  God is  the ultimate example of love.    see : 1 John 2:1-6 

Read: Psalms 25:1-10    key verse:  v.5

I.    v.1-3  Trust God to PROTECT

            * When you have failed, recognize that your forgiveness and restoration comes from God because of His love for you !

            *  Realize how big a part faith plays in everyday life

“Lord, I give myself to you; my God, I trust you.  Do not let me be disgraced; do not let my enemies laugh at me.  No one who trusts you will be disgraced, but those who sin without excuse will be disgraced.”    Ps. 25:1-3 (NCV)

         * We are forgiven not because of who we are, but who God is

II.  v.4,5  SEEK God to Guide

            * GUIDANCE: “dance’  when two people try to lead, nothing feels right, nothing flows, it is quite uncomfortable. But-  when one person lets the other lead, then both will flow with the music.

            *  G: God,  U & I  dance

“Show me how you work, God; School me in your ways. 5 Take me by the hand; Lead me down the path of truth. You are my Savior, aren't you?”    Ps. 25:4,5 (Msg)

III.  V.6-9  ASK God to Forgive

            *  Not if- When we sin!  In Psalms 25, David asked God on three occasions for forgiveness  (v.11, 18)

“But I wipe away your sins because of who I am.  And so, I will forget the wrongs you have done.”  Isaiah 43:25 (CEV) 

Conclusion:  v.10  ASK God to give you Wisdom

“If you need wisdom- if you want to know what God wants you to do-ask him, and he will gladly tell you.”  James 1:5a  (NLT)  

He says, “you must become a part of Me-  trust Me”
