Grateful Thanksgiving

“It is good to give thanks to the Lord, and sing praises to Your name, O Most High.  2. It is good to tell of Your loving-kindness in the morning, and of how faithful You are at night.” Psalm 92:1,2 (NLV)

The Pilgrims meet together in 1621 for an observance of the blessings God had provided for them, even though many had died; their adulation and focus was on giving thanks to God for His mercy.

“Praise the Lord! O give thanks to the Lord for He is good. 
His loving-kindness lasts forever.” Psalm 106:1 (NLV)

There are three reasons for thanksgiving to God :

I. v1,2  God Hears The Voice Of Our Supplication 
            Luke 17:11-19  the 10 lepers were healed, but...
We owe a debt of gratitude to Jesus for His Love, Grace, and Mercy-  He kept giving His all to us !

II. v.3-6  God Will Help Us 
            Psalm 121:1-8  Looking to heaven for Divine help
            John 7:37-39  We can be satisfied in Christ

III. v.7,8  God Will Take Special Care Of Us 
            Psalm 46:1-3,10,11 He is our refuge, our strength, our helper
            Psalm 107:1,2  we must proclaim His great works, and give Him the praise and glory in everything and all aspects of our lives

Think about this on Thursday:
Thank God for dirty dishes, they have a tale to tell; 
While others may go hungry, we’ve eaten very well.
With home, health, and happiness I shouldn’t want to fuss,
By the stack of evidence, God’s been very good to us !    unknown
