God’s Everlasting Promises

There was a time when your word or/ a handshake was your bond-however, now it seems life has taught us that “ promises” are made to be broken !
Read John 3:16-18; 36
I.  But God’s promises are sure because He is:
            1)  immutable / unchangeable    James 1:17
            2)  Jesus Christ, the same....    Hebrews 13:8
            3)  He has the proven ability to deliver on His promises
                        Psalms 95:9-11    Psalms 89:30-34
            4)  Even when we transgress    Ezekiel 16:59,60; 62,63
“So turn to me and be helped--saved!-everyone, whoever and wherever you are.  I am GOD, the only God there is, the one and only. 23 I promise in my own name: Every word out of my mouth does what it says.  I never take back what I say. Everyone is going to end up kneeling before me. Everyone is going to end up saying of me, 24“Yes! Salvation and strength are in GOD!” All who have raged against him will be brought before him, disgraced by their unbelief.  Isaiah 45:22-24 (Msg)

II.  v16,17  So when He promises salvation- He will  save us
            1)  Romans 10:9,10;13
            2)  Acts 16:27 -34
            3)  Acts 10:42 ,43
            4)  Romans 5:1,2
Once you were dead, doomed forever because of your many sins.5 that even while we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God's special favor that you have been saved!) Eph.2:1,5 (NLT)

III.  v18 So also  to those who reject  Him
            John 12:47,48;    Rev. 21:8;    Romans 2:5-9

IIII.  v36a  Therefore:
But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name  John 1:12 (Msg)
