Godly Fathers

“Blessed is that man who makes the LORD his trust, And does not respect the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.”    Psalms 40:4 (NKJV)

The contrast between the men of Israel whom Ezekiel prophesies against, and the men of God David writes about is palpable.  It translates to being a Godly father.

Read: Ezekiel 22:23-31 (v30) ;  Psalms 40:1-5

Generally, there are prerequisites to being a good father such as:  acting like a man, functioning like a man, thinking like a man, working like a man, and taking responsibility as a man. Who then are Godly men?

Isaiah 40:31; 41:13  our strength is continuly renewed in Him
James 1:5  He promises to give us sound reasoning & wisdom
Philippians 4:19   we ultimately are in God’s hands thru Christ

II.  Men Who Have Learned To Lead

Galatians 5:16 ,17  not walking in our own wisdom or/ devices
Galatians 2:20   realizing Christ will direct our life
Ephesians 5:23   he is the leader of the family

III.  Men Who Have Learned To Love

I Corinthians 13:1-5  be willing to give of yourself for your family
Proverbs 15:1,18  learning to turn down the volume
