The Greatest Triumphal Entry

“Crowds went ahead and crowds followed, all of them calling out, "Hosanna to David's son!" "Blessed is he who comes in God's name!" "Hosanna in highest heaven!"         Matt. 21:9  (Msg)

In heaven it will be Palm Sunday forever !

notice- there are palm branches, cheers, and Jesus is the center of it all.  The first group of people were looking forward to what  might be a hope of temporal physical deliverance, and the second group saw their eternal spiritual deliverance sitting on the throne.

I.  Rev.7:9  The greatness of God and His grace toward us 
1)  we see our sin in the light of God’s Holiness  
            Ephesians 2:8,9  ...by grace are you saved...  
2)  When we see God in His Holiness we realize the depth of our need  
            Isaiah 6:1-5  ...woe is me...

II.  v14  We will be on the other side of all our struggles  
1) these are the saints who remained faithful-  though painful and hard  
            Revelation 21:4  ...no more tears...  
            2 Timothy 4:7,8 ...a crown of righteousness ...

III.  v14  We will also see God’s grace in light of our sin  
1)  we will stand before the Lord in heaven ONLY because of the blood of His precious Son and our savior,  Jesus Christ
            Ephesians 1:7  ...in whom we have redemption...  
2)  we will spend the rest of eternity in gratitude and  worship !  
            Hebrews 9:11-15  ... Christ, being made more precious...

IV. v16,17  We will experience the life we could never imagine  
   v15b He who sits upon the throne will spread His tent over them.  
            Revelation 21:7 ;  Rev.3:5,12,21 ...he that overcometh will...  
1)  no more reason to cry- except for JOY,  no more sorrow, no more disappointment or devastating losses, no more cancer or funerals  
2)  we will then KNOW true forgiveness !

The Bible says this will be a large group,- but it will be an exclusive group-  the final question is: will you  be among those who celebrate the Greatest Triumphal Entry?
