Why Did Jesus Have To Die ?

Are you experiencing His continuing- uninterrupted forgiveness for your sins ?

Without His forgiveness, you will never experience the joy of an intimate, unfearful relationship with God

Gen. 2:16,17; 3:4-7
1) the fall began with Adam & Eve resulting in a spiritual separation from God - their creator
            a)  rebellion comes naturally to our sinful nature
               II Cor. 5:17   in Christ we can become a new creation
            b) Jeremiah 2:13  sums up the essence of our guilt
                we must not have a lifestyle apart from God
Why?  1) it can not meet our spiritual needs    2) it can not bring us security   3)  it can not provide contentment   4) it can not offer inner peace   5)  it can not earn the Lord’s favor   6)  ultimately we will turn to our own devices to meet our needs

The primary purpose for which we were created was to glorify God and have fellowship with Him.  I Cor. 6:19,20

2)  the only hope of transformation is through Jesus Christ
            Romans 5:1  justified by faith - abundant and eternal life is a free gift from God

3)  God does not send people He wants to fellowship with to hell -
He lays down His life in front of them to be reconciled once again
            John 3:18;  John1:12  the opportunity is given

Jesus Christ is the ONLY and sufficient way- God approved way- to know eternal life and fellowship with God
God’s free gift to us cost Him everything!
