Before Morning Comes...
mistakes will happen

“Even if good people fall seven times, they will get back up.
But when trouble strikes the wicked, that's the end of them.”
Proverbs 24:16 ( NEV )

You’re not a failure because you fall - only if you don’t get back up !

Read Luke 22:54-62
* Peter’s greatest strength was his courage, ( sea of Galilee,
pulled out a sword to defend Jesus from the Roman soldiers )
* Moses ( killed an Egyptian, struck the rock twice )
* Abraham ( lied about Sarah his wife )
* David, Samson, Solomon and others

I Cor. 10:12 take heed of falling,    II Cor.12:10  when I am weak...

Three Wonderful Truths:

I.  Even when we fail, God is still sovereign ( in control )
v 60  The rooster crows at God’s timing

II.  When we fail, God is sympathetic
v. 61  The moment Peter denied, he turned and saw in the eyes of Jesus the
look of love-  not of disappointment or anger- but a look of compassion
* God does not love us because we are valuable, we are
valuable because He loves us !  God loves you just as you are !
Psalms 103:13,14  the Lord pities us-  that’s unconditional love !

III.    Even when we fail, we are secure in His love
Luke 22:31,32  A sifter breaks up the lumps
* God is not changing us so He can love us-  He loves us,
therefore He is changing us to be more like Him
*  God allowed Peter to be sifted so  he could use him
*  God doesn’t focus on the chaff (failures) in your life
Romans
8:28   ALL things !

      “Failure doesn’t have to be a hitching post;
it can be a guide post.”
